You may not recognize Teddy Wells, but there’s a good chance you’ve laid eyes on him before. He’s appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows shot in Hawai‘i. The reason his face isn’t more familiar is because it’s often a blur, or a quick blip, or a dot in the distance. Sometimes, just the back of his head makes it onto the screen. Sometimes, he’s cut out of a scene altogether. Such is the inglorious life of the hard-working background actor.
Teddy Wells started an online social networking site, the Hawai‘i Actors Network. Teddy Wells started an online social networking site, the Hawai‘i Actors Network. It’s a place where Hawai‘i’s actors and would-be actors can post headshots, talk shop, and keep abreast of the latest industry news, gossip and rumors. Casting directors sometimes post exclusive crew calls on HAN. When the independently produced movie You May Not Kiss the Bride premiered in Hawai‘i, HAN members filled the theater. Teddy once rallied HAN members to protest at the state Capitol in support of a stronger film industry. The network has grown rapidly in its four years of existence, and now includes more than 6,700 members, Teddy says.Along the way, Teddy has a achieved a level of Internet fame that has surpassed any notoriety he’s achieved as a background actor. HAN members recognize him everywhere he goes, he says. But, he’s quick to add, HAN isn’t about him.“The whole purpose is to empower people,” he says. “To get people who don’t really believe in themselves to believe in themselves, and to understand that being an extra is really not a bad thing.”

Hawaiian Music Live! is Hawaii’s Internet Radio. Our station was created in 2016 by Hawaiian music industry veterans Randy Hudnall and “Bruddah Wade” Faildo. As former radio disc jockeys and programming directors, Randy and Wade have over 50 combined years of experience, making them two of the most knowledgeable Hawaiian music aficionados in their field. Hawaiian Music Live was born from Randy and Wade’s wish to continue keeping Hawaiian music alive and to go one step further and expand it globally to reach fans in and beyond the island.
Featuring the legendary “Uncle” Sam Kapu, Kamasami Kong, and Billy V. (William Van Osdol) as the imaging voices of the station, Hawaiian Music Live brings you the best mix of Hawaiian music. It stays true to Hawaiian music’s roots by playing traditional Hawaiian music by such artists as The Kahauanu Lake Trio, while also playing contemporary Hawaiian music (Keali`I Reichel, Hoku Zuttemeister, Weldon Kekauoha), and island music (C&K, Kalapana, Fiji).

Teddy's Bigger Burgers got its start in the backyard cookouts of owners Ted & Rich. The two loved good burgers but couldn't understand why there weren't any fast food restaurants that offered the quality of their home cooked burgers in a quick service environment.
So Ted & Rich set out to create a restaurant that served the best quality burger in an energetic fast paced environment. After studying the simple menus of the original 1950's burger joints, Ted & Rich decided to 'reinvent the burger joint' with a 50's theme and a simple menu of burgers, fries & shakes.
The next year was spent developing recipes and finding companies that could supply the quality of products Teddy's would insist on.
That brings us to what sets Teddy's apart. Teddy's uses only 100% fresh chilled ground chuck (no fillers or binders). Burgers are hand crafted daily and always charbroiled to order. Super Sauce is Teddy's own sweet and tangy creation, not the usual thousand island dressing. Teddy's Teriyaki Sauce is a traditional recipe made from scratch. Our produce and buns are the highest quality and are delivered fresh daily.
The first Teddy's Bigger Burgers was opened on the 15th of April 1998 at the foot of Diamond Head. Our competitive advantage lies in an extreme focus on quality & customer service. Because all of our menu items are prepared to order, we do take a little longer. Our goal is to make it worth the wait.
